Welcome to the edweb.site website (hereinafter – «Site»). We respect your privacy and strive to protect the personal data you provide us with. This Privacy Policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and what rights users of the Site have in relation to their data.

1. Definitions

  • Data Controller – the person responsible for processing personal data on the Site. On the Site, the Data Controller is Evgeny Dibrovsky, owner and author of the edweb.site website, email for contact: edwebfreelance@gmail.com.
  • Site – a web resource located at https://edweb.site/, intended for presenting portfolio, resume, and providing contact information.
  • User – any natural person using the Site and/or the Site functionality (including the feedback form).

2. What data we collect

We collect personal data that Users voluntarily provide through the Site, as well as technical data collected automatically when visiting the Site.

2.1. Data provided through the contact form

When filling out the contact form on the Site, you provide:

  • Name;
  • Email address;
  • Subject of the message;
  • Message text.

These data are used exclusively for processing incoming requests, responses to messages, and further communication with you regarding possible cooperation, recruitment, hiring, etc.

2.2. Technical data (Cookies, localStorage, etc.)

  • Cookies for language switching: Save the choice of language on the Site, so that when the user returns to the Site, they see the interface in their preferred language.
  • Google Analytics: Serves to collect statistics on visits to the Site (number of visits, pages visited, average session duration, etc.). When the user first visits the Site, they are presented with a notification about the use of cookie files, with the ability to disable sending data to Google Analytics. If the user does not give consent to the use of cookies, the corresponding cookie files and analytics tools are not activated.
  • localStorage: Used to save the selected theme (dark or light).
  • Google reCAPTCHA: On the «Contacts» page (or in the feedback form) may be used Google reCAPTCHA service to protect against spam and automated bots. In this case, Google may save some cookie files on the user's device to check that the action is performed by a person, not a robot.

3. Purpose and legal basis for processing data

  • Contact with users: We process data that you leave in the contact form to respond to your request and continue the conversation. The legal basis is your voluntary request and/or your voluntary request to conclude a contract (Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR) and consent (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR).
  • Statistical tracking: Google Analytics helps us understand how users interact with the Site, which pages are popular. The legal basis is consent (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR).
  • Security and protective measures (reCAPTCHA): We protect the Site and the feedback form against automated spam bots, which is our legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR).
  • Fulfillment of legal obligations: If necessary, we may process data to fulfill legal requirements (Art. 6 (1)(c) GDPR).

4. Data transfer to third parties

  • Google: In the framework of using the Google Analytics and reCAPTCHA services, certain data (e.g., IP address, technical metadata) may be transferred to the company Google (Google Inc.). All these processes are carried out in accordance with Google's privacy policy and exclusively on the basis of the user's consent.
  • Law enforcement agencies and government institutions: We may disclose personal data if it is required by law, a court decision, or an official request.
  • In other cases: We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties without prior notice and without your consent, except in cases where this is necessary to fulfill a contract or process your request.

5. Using cookies and similar technologies

  • What is a cookie: Cookie – small files that are saved on your device when visiting a website. They allow you to recognize you when you return, save settings, etc.
  • Types of cookies on the Site:
    • Functional cookies (necessary for the operation of language switching, theme selection, and other basic functions).
    • Analytical cookies (Google Analytics). Set only with the user's consent.
    • Protective cookies (reCAPTCHA). Used when opening the «Contacts» page to protect against spam bots.
  • Cookie management: When you first visit the Site, you can accept or reject the use of cookies. You can also configure the use of cookies at any time in the settings of your browser. If you do not agree to the use of cookies, some Site functions may not work correctly.

6. Data storage period

  • Data from the contact form: Stored until they are necessary for responding to your request and (if mutually interested) for further cooperation, but not longer than required by law or reasonably necessary for the purposes of recruitment, discussing vacancies, etc.
  • Cookie: The storage period of cookie files depends on their type. For example, session cookies are deleted when the browser is closed, and permanent cookies are stored longer (usually from several months to 1–2 years).
  • Google Analytics: Analytics data is usually stored in the Google Analytics service for up to 14 months (or another set period, depending on the settings).

7. Your rights

In accordance with applicable law (GDPR and national law of Poland), you have the following rights:

  • Right to access your personal data (Art. 15 GDPR);
  • Right to rectification (Rectification) of incorrect data (Art. 16 GDPR);
  • Right to erasure (Erasure), «right to be forgotten» (Art. 17 GDPR);
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR);
  • Right to portability of data (Art. 20 GDPR);
  • Right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR);
  • Right to withdraw consent at any time (if processing is based on consent) without compromising the legality of processing previously carried out.

8. Security measures

We take reasonable and appropriate organizational and technical measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized or unlawful access, loss, destruction, or modification.

9. Intellectual property and prohibition of unauthorized copying

  • All materials posted on the Site (texts, images, graphics, logos, design, etc.) are the intellectual property of the Data Controller (unless otherwise specified) and are protected by copyright.
  • It is prohibited to copy, download, reproduce, or distribute materials from the Site without the prior consent of the author, except in cases where this is directly provided by law or necessary in the context of recruitment, viewing resumes, and portfolios.
  • Any unauthorized use of the Site materials may result in civil, administrative, and/or criminal liability according to applicable law.

The Site may contain links to other websites (e.g., links to social networks or external resources). We are not responsible for the content and data processing methods on third-party resources. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of such websites separately.

11. Use of the Site by persons under 16/18 years old

The Site is not intended for use by persons under 16/18 years old (depends on the law), however, we do not knowingly collect personal data from such persons. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal data without the consent of their parents/legal representatives, please contact us so we can remove such information.

12. Changes to the Privacy Policy

We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the Site's operation or legislation. The updated version will be posted on the Site with the date of the last update.
